On the Edge is an exhibition that brings together a dozen artists whose work is anything but traditional. Their creative use of color, form, materials and composition, results in unique and exciting paintings, sculptures and mixed media pieces. It’s an exhibition unlike any other. This is the first time these artists have collaborated to launch a joint exhibition of their extraordinary art.

 Don’t expect to see portraits, landscapes or still lifes or other traditional artwork. Instead, look forward to

·        Abstraction- pure and simple

·        Mixed Media pieces- combining a variety of materials

·        Sculpture- in metals and more

·        Collages- built with layers of papers and found objects

,,, all brought together for a non-traditional art show exploding with color and design. A visual feast for the eyes and the senses.

Each artist expresses concepts in a singular fashion yet each has embraced the concept of Art Beyond Tradition. They are from Hilton Head Island, Bluffton and Beaufort, and all are accomplished artists, each in his own special style and medium. It’s work that has to be seen, and all artwork is for sale.

Participating artists include: Ann Hakala, Jo Dye, Vickie Jourdan, Cindy Chiappetta, Art Cornell, Stephen Kishel, Marlies Williams, Deanna Bowdish, May Reisz, Marilyn Dizikes, Mary Jane Martin, Arla Weible, and Irene K. Williamson.
